Our son was born with a cleft palette and had difficulty making a number of sounds correctly when speaking.   He attended regular speech therapy sessions with the cleft specialist speech therapists at the Dental Hospital.   I can't thank them enough for the way they worked with him.   He just loved going to see them and thought of it as a play date!   He was never anxious or stressed by his appointments and as parents, we were able to take away a lot of ideas for how to implement similar practice at home. Now, at 6, his speech is perfect and he has mastered all of the sounds.

Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch. I'm not sure that many of our patients view their trip to the Dental Hospital as a play date! However I am delighted to learn that your son was so at ease during his visits and that through your discussions with the speech therapists, such good progress has been made.
