"All in all, a fantastic hospital experience."

About: Leigh Infirmary

I am not good with hospitals, but Leigh infirmary just has something about it that feels somehow less like a hospital. It is spotless, calm, and the staff are really nice. I went for a colonoscopy and was extremely nervous but the whole experience was made manageable by the nursing staff and it went well. I will say I was first greeted by a nurse who seemed quite nervous, and almost a little too dramatic when reading the risks which made me nervous. She made a bit of a hash of finding a vein too, so it started badly, at one point she said "You arent going to faint on me are you?".... but we got there in the end.

Thank you for your posting in respect of your visit to Leigh Hospital. We are pleased to read that you found the place spotless and you felt calm. I am sorry to read that there were some concerns in respect of the consent to risks and the procedure with your vein; your feedback is very valuable and will be provided to all staff involved in your care. I hope you are feeling much better.

Kind regards
