Absoutely fuming! I am on my way home after wasting £10 of cab money to get to my 9am appointment at selsdon med practice. I was told there was no physio there and to contact the service. I phone the service, they tell they have no idea where the specialist physio is as he has not called in sick and left no messages. So Why else am I fuming?! Please note that I was referred in June. It took the service 6 months to determine that gym rehabilitation will not work and that was only after my Gp and myself severely complained. So I had to see an advanced physio who sent me for scans and gave me 1st steroid injection as she understood how much pain I was in. My ultrasound revealed some kind of burstitis in my left shoulder even after weeks of the injection, so referred for a guided Ultrasound steroid injection. At the moment they only have one person who can do that. One person in the whole of croydon! So I had to wait a month to be booked in. Today is the day of, I had to take a cab as my condition is worsening: Burning acid, cramping, nerve damage & inflammation in my dominant left shoulder. I have been off sick, ironically I work for the NHS, since july with no treatment solution in sight. I have been left unable to book another appointment as the doctor hasnt even created another diary clinic. I am 31 years old, I couldn't celebrate my birthday just gone, battling from feeling so depressed from this injury. MSK croydon need to hire more specialist physios or at least put funding into training the many low levelled pratpractitioners who are probably dying to advance in their careers. Please get this sorted I can't imagine what other patients are going through who are in a worse position than myself. Wish me luck on getting this appointment rebooked because I have a feeling I'm going to need it. 7 months... how much longer I wonder. KG
