"Let’s Hear it For the Receptionists!"

I would like to say how wonderful most of the receptionists are at Wroughton. I suffer from an eye disease and have regular treatment at the hospital. I visited the surgery to see the physiotherapist but was also suffering from severe and painful eye symptoms - at the time the hospital clinic was closed for Xmas/NewYear so I hadn’t been able to see anyone there. The receptionist, who remembered me, and noticed my streaming eyes, urged me to see a doctor that day and arranged it. This lady is unfailingly patient and kind. It seems she knows many of the patients who clearly like and trust her. Today, I had to phone the surgery as one of my prescription items hadn’t been fulfilled. It was a different receptionist but she too was excellent - kind, helpful knowledgeable and patient.

I’m writing this because I want them to know what a huge difference they make. They are the first point of contact by both phone and at the surgery. When people are ill it is especially important to be treated kindly and sympathetically and these staff members are exemplary in this regard. Thank you!
