"Sign of the times."

This surgery picks it's aliments to treat. I've an 80 year old Mother with an ongoing ear infection they now refuse to treat - Aparently an e-mail was sent to all patient's that happen to be computer literate and online, explaining quote:

Ear Syringing

Unfortunately we are having to cease offering a service for ear syringing as many other Practices have already done. If you think you need your ears syringed you will be given a leaflet at reception with advice as to how to self-treat. If this has not worked after 2 weeks and you still feel you need to have your ears syringed then you will need to find a private provider. Unfortunately we are not able to recommend any providers but the receptionists do have a list of places which provide an ear syringing service. We apologise for any inconvenience.

My Mother has an ongoing problem with ear infections, and the obvious side effects of hearing loss, and balance. NHS hospitals (St Richards) Chichester refuse treatment, and refer her to this Emsworth surgery, who now as above statement refuse treatment, and advise to seek private treatment!

Disgusting NHS service. Shame on you.
