In short, I necessarily visited Outpatients mid morning on Monday 10 February with a dental abscess. My only previous visit, one night in 2015 for a different problem, was memorable for all the wrong reasons, so I was not sure what to expect.
I had heard about improvements, however, and I was not disappointed. Everything seemed to be far better organised and my journey through Reception, Triage, seeing an A&E doctor, x-ray, the usual tests, and treatment by a doctor from Dentistry was seamless, well ordered and without undue delay, and I was discharged with a supply of antibiotics.
A follow-up appointment was offered at 8:50 today, 13 February, at the fabulous new Oral and Maxillofacial facility where I was seen quickly by a sister and then by a doctor, both of whom were personable, caring and helpful. All in all an experience memorable for all the right reasons.
