"Not a great hospital"

About: Altrincham Hospital

I would not recommend going there if you think you've sprained your ankle. The staff was polite and professional, but not of much help at all with my injury! I was told to start walking on a sprained ankle after three days, even though my sprain was very bad (probably grade 2 or 3 - meaning torn ligaments). Four months on and my ankle is still swollen and painful (if you rush your healing period then this can make the whole process worse, which is what I think happened). I only received a leaflet where I had to read generic information about sprained ankles, but they differ in severity so leaflets are useless. Basically, would not recommend this hospital, unfortunately.
