"A&E care outstanding Hospital infrastructure…"

About: Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The outstanding

Are all the staff who show dedication to all the patients no matter of their circumstances, all treated equally.

If you accompany a patient be prepared to bring your own refreshments, drinks machines are not operational as they have no cups in the machines, if you require a bottle of water you are asked for a pre payment card? What ever they are? they don’t take money!!! You may very well end up as the patient due to dehydration.

Well don’t get me on to the parking and parking eye company who make a very lucrative business from it!!! The most expensive hospital car park I’ve ever parked on, if you are a patient or accompanying you feel totally ripped off. Just a warning... I believe the pay machines, all two of them are hidden around a corner so people can’t find them, also well as out of the range for mobility impaired individuals to reach. Watch out for the fines arriving because you either can’t find the pay machine or unable to reach it.

Again all staff and care is super, please address the infrastructure issues. We want to be able to afford to visit our loved ones.

Hello Ann, thank you for your review. It was lovely to read your comment about our staff. I am sorry the drinks machine didn't work. I presume you mean the three vending machines on the corridor near A& E. They do take cash and card payments and our run by a local supplier. Our reception staff will provide people with a drink if asked, although they will check first if the person is a patient and it is safe to do so. With regard to the parking at our hospital if you do receive a fine that you feel is not warranted please do not hesitate to get in touch with our PALS team who will help all they can. They are available on 01772 522972 Monday - Friday 9-4pm with an answering service outside of these hours. Thank you for your review.
