"Poor waiting times and cancellations "

About: Birmingham Midland Eye Centre (Bmec)

I’ve been waiting for surgery since May 2019. I’d heard nothing the week of the 20th of January when I received a pre assessment letter to attend on the 27th of January.

I then had a call a week later advising that there had been extra surgery days put in place and my surgery would be 11 February. All good, until this operation was cancelled 22 hours before admission time. I’m left frustrated at the 9 month wait, the cancellation the day before and now having to wait for yet another date to come in

Poor service and clueless staff
