"Professionalism and loving care"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Critical Care

(as a service user),

My husband died in ICU. I want to express my thanks to the Ward Staff who fought so very hard for four days trying to save his life, he was 52.

The professionalism and loving care that he, and us as a family received during those 4 dark days was a huge credit to NHS Grampian.

Dear Posie62,

Firstly, please accept my sincere condolences for your loss, I am so sorry to hear that your husband has passed away.

Thank you so much for writing to tell us about your experience within Intensive Care and how the staff supported you and your family during this difficult time. I will share your story with all the team. The staff will all be very grateful of your feedback and the fact that they were able to provide you and your family with this care and support during this sad time.

I am very proud of the professionalism and standard of care that the team deliver here every day and I am glad that this was of comfort to you.

Kind regards, Helen Paddon
