My husband was an inpatient last year for several months as he was diagnosed with throat cancer and had a lot of treatment in relation to this. The treatment was carried out and we have only praise for all involved and his aftercare has been good. His Consultant ordered a CT Scan as a routine check-up for him and he received this middle of January. He had to wait several weeks for the appointment which we did not mind and we were told the result would be ready in 7 to 10 days. That was perfect as he had an appointment with his Consultant at the ARI beginning of February, so we thought we would receive the results then. On attending the appointment the Consultant told us that he did not have the results as expected. He then proceeded to do an endoscopic via the nose with a camera and on doing this found a mass where the tumour was before. He is not sure if this is the return of the tumour or an ulcer and as such my husband has to be readmitted in a couple of week's time for an investigation/biopsy. This is all very traumatic at the moment as none of us including his Consultant expected this. Maybe if the results of the CT Scan had been available that these may have given the Consultant an idea of what is happening with my husband. I would like to know where the results are??
