I accompanied my elderly mother to an appointment today with the respiratory consultant.

The clinic was very busy and running slightly behind time.

When we were seen by the consultant he shook both our hands, introduced himself and was extremely polite and well mannered.

He took time to explain to my mother the findings of her CT scan and clearly explained the various options. Throughout the consultation he was extremely patient and clearly explained the findings.

We found him extremely professional as well as approachable and spoke at a level which was clearly understandable to my elderly mother.

I would like to pass on how grateful we were to see this consultant and how pleased we were with the excellent service received.

I can only imagine how worrying and stressful attending clinic for CT results must have been for you both but it is pleasing to read that you felt her care was delivered professionally by a polite and well-mannered consultant.
