What I liked

all the staff from the consultant, the anaesthetist to all the other staff on ward 10,i can only say that the were fantastic.The nurses and health care assistant do aextremley hard job and never stop working and seemed like they couldve done with an extra pair of hands all the time.ward 10 is an extremley busy ward and when i was there for 3 nights 4 days following my hysterectromy there were quite afew different casaes to deal with.yes i would recommend this hospital.

What could be improved

more staff.fooid although i wasnt hungry i didnt rate this at all .

Anything else?

the hard working staff of our nhs service need a pat on the back,yeah they might not all be good but the ones i encountered were great,although very overworked.

Thank you for your comments posted on this website regarding your stay on Ward 10 at Wansbeck General Hospital.

The Trust was sorry to hear about your comments around the food served to you while you were an inpatient. The catering staff are always happy to see patients concerning any meals served and I am sorry that the nursing staff did not suggest this to you. Please accept my apologies for this. I will ask our Chief Matron to remind all staff that catering staff should be contacted if there are concerns around meals served.

I will pass on your very kind comments concerning the nursing staff on Ward 10. Thank you for taking the time to write.
