Without NHS Fife breastfeeding support I do not think I would have continued to breastfeed my baby. They spent time with me and baby in my home - providing practical support and knowledge. In addition they offered phone support (calls & text) and introduced me to the breastfeeding support group in my area. Their flexible approach is great and I have found that they aim to respond the same day which is helpful when you have worries/questions about your newborn! The most important support they proved me was with an electric pump. This has been a vital piece of equipment for us as baby has preferred a bottle but it means I can still provide breastmilk.
