"Cancer journey.."

About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre New Stobhill Hospital / Day Hospital

(as a service user),

Found a lump on a Thursday, saw doctor at 9.10am same day, was booked into Stobhill on the following Tuesday for scans and biopsy. Had lumpectomy 4 weeks later, radiotherapy, 8 weeks after that for 4 weeks at The Beatson.

Absolutely everyone who took care of me, and there was a huge team, was genuinely kind and caring.  The skill and professionalism shown was brilliant and I couldn't be more grateful to all of them.  Our NHS is fantastic and I'll always stick up for them to anyone who says they aren't.

Dear cowalassie,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. This has obviously been a worrying time for you and I was pleased to read you were well supported during this time. The staff very much pride themselves in providing person centred care to each and every patient and they will be grateful for your feedback which I will share with them.

I wish you well and once again thank you for sending this very kind feedback.

Kind Regards

Elaine Burt
