"Excellent care"

Having recently had knee replacement surgery at West Cumberland Hospital I would like to express my thanks at the excellent care I received. All staff were understanding, friendly and nothing was too much trouble to them. This and the fact that the facilities in all areas also exceeded expectations allowed me to put aside my anxieties and concentrate on my recovery. Having never been in hospital for major surgery I had no concept of what to expect and recent media reports of a declining service raised some questions about care. I need not have worried the hospital is striving to do its best and I certainly received the best service from dedicated staff.
