About: Newham General Hospital

I had a previous bad experience in this hospital before. My mum was taken ill and I look after her. So after a long time in a&e we get taken to the ward. Me first thing I storm into the ward managers office telling her that I’m not going anywhere and I have to stay with my mum and I don’t care if security or police come I fight them all. I was so expecting to have an argument. But she just looked at me and said it’s ok, your mum is not well you have to stay. I would if this was my mum. And then she even went and made me a cup coffee. I was so exhausted and I wasn’t expecting that at all. My mum was on a special machine to help her breathe. Her nurses were so nice they treated my mum and me so well. The manager came to see me every day and asked if We were ok.

I am so grateful and mum is too. And she’s much better now.

I don’t know how you all did this but I wanted to say how much this mean to us.

Thank you Silvertown staff I wish all very best in future.
