Paramedics were called out to my daughter at nursery today (sorry I don’t remember their names) due to breathing difficulties. Their bubbly, calm and caring personality’s really put my daughter (and me) at ease. They are definitely a credit to their profession.
My daughter is familiar with having her vitals monitored but it’s the first time she has wanted to play ‘checking oxygen levels and heart rate at home’. So they obviously made quite an impression on her too!
Once we arrived at A&E my daughter was seen by a nurse, who again was very friendly and professional. We were then seen by a DR who was just amazing. He had obviously took a bit of time to go over her medical history as he knew exactly who her current consultants are. I only had to briefly explain her rare genetic condition before I felt like he understood her issues. He explained medical problems is layman terms and we actually learnt a thing or two despite having seen many many drs over the years. His bedside manner was perfect not only with us as parents but with my daughter too! He even used some makaton signing, and with a background of speech and language I was very impressed! So a big thank you to everyone who cared for my little girl today.
"I was very impressed"
