"Terrible department so far. "

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I have been told I have 3 tumours in my neck [after having several MRI scans and 2 very painful biopsies] GP and consultant stated that it would be fast tracked due to the possibility of it being cancerous. This was over 2 months ago and I'm still waiting.

Last appointment was on the 07/01/20 and I was kept waiting for over an hour only to be told that they haven't had the results of the latest biopsy yet which was taken on the 18/12/19. They even had the cheek to text me to say that missed appointments cost the department £105. Can I claim for my wasted time and loss of wages for taking a day off work plus parking charges. I have had 2 fines totalling £84 on previous appointments.

Told to call in 2 weeks if I hadn't received an appointment, which of course I didn't.

So called on the 22/01/20 and spoke to 2 aggressive reception staff before being told that consultants secretary would call me back, which they never did. Called again today with more success as I only had to speak to 1 aggressive receptionist, before being put through to the secretary who stated that they still haven’t had the results back.

Also just received a letter today 23/01/20 which states it was written on the 10/01/20 confirming the outcome of the pointless appointment on the 07/01/20.

This all reminds me of the joke were you get told you have 6 months to live and it has taken them 5 and a half months to tell you.
