"Hand hygiene"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

(as a service user),

Myself and my husband visited a relative in Oldham Hospital the other day.

She was in a bed next to a sink and table which was used by the staff.

A staff member came to wash their hands and did a thorough job.

However, they then sat down at the table and took out a mobile phone .....which personally I think was bad enough, but then also started to touch their nose and face. After doing this for about 5mins. the staff member got up and went about their duties.

I am so annoyed with myself for not speaking up.

I was totally disgusted, it is no wonder patients end up with infections!
