"Impossible to contact surgery"

I received a text saying to call the surgery to book a telephone consultation within the next two weeks for results of a blood test, I started ringing at 8.30am today and rang 26 times, each time to be told you are 25 in line, at finally at 16.53 I was only 6 in line so I hung on, I was waiting for 18 minutes to then be told the soonest I could get a call back was over a weeks time. Hopefully it's nothing serious but I will just spend the next week worrying about it. Totally unacceptable that it takes a whole day just to get through to reception. I have personally worked as a doctors receptionist and this would not of been acceptable in that surgery.
