"Left in excruciating pain for a week"

I have had no issues with this practice until today. I was a week late putting in my repeat prescription due to being very poorly and not able to get there. Today, 21/01/20 I visited and asked for my tablets as I really needed them. The reply I got was to call back at around 5pm to see if the doctor has issued enough tablets to see me through until a medication review on the 28/01/20. I did this and was told that it was rejected until I have the review. I suffer from a long term debilitating illness and basically I have been told to suffer in excruciating pain for another week. Totally unacceptable showing absolutely no compassion. Disgusting
