"Ridiculous Appointments System"

About: Rydal

No online facility to book appointments despite what website states. You have to ring up between certain hours and request a GP call-back (not before the receptionist asks what your medical issue is, which is utterly ridiculous as it is - they haven't taken the Hippocratic oath and your medical issues have nothing to do with them). But what you get the majority of the time is a disinterested-sounding, quite often rude receptionist informing you that they don't have any call-backs available for that day. No facility to request a call-back for the next day - no, you have to call back again that day ad infinitum until you are lucky enough to get through. They may as well save money by replacing all the receptionists with answering machines for each GP, as essentially that is all they are doing at this point. Any surgery can manage their appointments by just making it overly officious and difficult to make an appointment in the first place but this isn't really very good customer service is it? And people wonder why patients just turn up to A&E instead, increasing pressure on that service.....

It's 2020 for goodness' sake- get an online booking system and get rid of your rude receptionists to boot.
