I underwent an MTP fusion at the Day surgery unit Queen Margaret Hospital.
Mr Dall was my surgeon, and I could not have received better care and information from him. He took time to explain everything about my op. Some of which I was not aware of. I thank him very much for his concern about how I would be after the op as I was originally booked in to have both feet done at the same time. I am glad now that after discussing this with him I only had one foot done and the other will be done at a later date, hopefully not to many months from now. The nursing staff in the day surgery ward namely Karen and Lisa were fantastic. So caring and reassuring. Karen noticed I was a bit anxious and all it took from her was an arm round the shoulder and a bit of reassurance to make me relax a bit. They were both so attentive to all the patients, it was the best experience I have had from any of my hospital visits over the years. Thankyou again ladies you are both a credit to your nursing profession. I hope you are on duty when I get my other foot done. I felt safe and secure in your hands. All the staff were brilliant that day. The theatre staff were jolly and made you feel relaxed. I thank you, as it is a bit scary for patients.
