About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

I was referred to maternity for a ultrasound for a early pregnancy scan as I had previously had 3 miscarriages . The nurse called me in for my scan by my first name. Couldn’t believe that she had been given the completely wrong persons notes and didn’t have a clue who’s they were! Then proceeded to scan me telling me that no pregnancy could be detected and that I had probably miscarried again! She was totally uncaring and unprofessional. She asked me to return to maternity but I grabbed my things and walked out crying! I had been warned about using this hospital but honestly didn’t think it could be this bad! Totally uncaring and rude staff! If I was a expectant mother I would definitely think about using Preston!

Thank you for leaving this feedback at this difficult time, I appreciate this would not have been easy to do. I would like to pass on my sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your baby.

I was truly sorry to read about your experience and to see that you did not feel well cared for by a member of our staff at a time when you needed the upmost support and sympathy. The actions taken were not to the high standard we would expect in this situation and I would like to reassure you that we are taking this matter very seriously.
