Attended the Gp surgery at 10:45 this morning to get an appointment for my daughter. She see doctor pontin on Monday and he said if he was to worsen bring her back in. Which I did today, receptionist said no appointments available and I explained I think my daughter has measles. Receptionist told me to take her to hospital. Which i asked her to confirm what she meant by hospital. Her reply was a and e. Got to a and e to be taken to a side room and have a nurse very rudely and abruptly say I shouldn’t have brought my 7 year old daughter to a and e that I have endangered the pregnant doctors on shift. Apsolutly humililated by this nurse and treated horrifically. Apparently they phoned and complained to the reception team for sending us there, but felt like I was being called a liar. Unhappy to say the least, with a poorly child who I know don’t know where to take her if her condition worsens even more.
"Bad advice from reception staff"
