"Smear test"

The most amazing nurse. Helen’s communication was impeccable. She talked me through the whole procedure in a calm informative and clear manner, moreover she was clear about what level of discomfort might occur and the steps I take in case it becomes too much and thus reminding me of my rights to communicate this and not to have to grin and bear it (surprisingly rare in women’s invasive procedures). She made polite chat and put me at ease and then took my weight and height as a previous appointment had missed them off to save me another trip. All in all this was the most painless and seamless smear test (or of any internal examination) I’ve ever had in my life. I wish everyone could have the same experience and I can’t say enough how much I value her as a practitioner at my local surgery. Shazia on reception was also very friendly and efficient with helping me with my request to submit my positive experience.
