"First class experience at BGH"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

As an anxious soon-to-be mum, I was filled with trepidation and fear when thinking about impending labour.

However 9 months of worry was put to rest as soon as I came to the BGH in labour last week. The staff in the labour ward, Nicole and Nikki, were nothing short of outstanding. Knowledgable, calm, genuine, caring and always listening to my, and my husbands, queries and guiding us through the labour.

The after care in the ward by Fiona and her amazing team, particularly Janet and Claire, could not have done more.

The NHS gets such a bad press and the BGH at times too- but our experience was first class and truly will stay with me.

Thank you so much rd88 for such lovely feedback.

I'm so glad all your anxieties were ‘put to rest’ when you came into hospital. This can be a very daunting time for couples and we understand everyone’s anxieties and try our best to alleviate those thoughts.

It’s lovely to hear you have had such a comforting experience in our care - this is exactly what we aim to provide.

I will be sure to share your kind feedback with all the staff across the unit.

I hope you are enjoying you’re new bundle of joy and settling into life as a new family.

Kind Regards

Claire
