(as the patient),

In with an Exacerbation of COPD excellent care from ED AAU and Ward 6 found I had an Irregular Heart Beat treated as well Drs Nurses (all grades) fantastic. The only thing I will moan about is refreshments! Hot drink with breakfast and at ten , no drink with lunch! Hot drink at 15.00 Supper at 17.00 no hot drink! Night staff make hot drinks about 20.30 your told ask the nurses sorry they are medical staff not catering!

Felt sorry for patients who could not leave the ward to get drinks or for those with no visitors.

Catering at Wexham has deteriorated since being bought back in house and it’s the patients who suffer.

I am so sorry that you did not receive enough hot deinks these are meant to be served regularly through the day and all staff should be able to get a hot drink for their patients at any time, I will ensure this comment gets back to AAU and ward 6 so they can review their process'. Thank you for your kind words about the staff we are all committed to excellence and its nice to receive positive feedback about their care.
