"Outstanding care"

I am recovering from a recent cataract procedure and I just have to comment on the outstanding care I received from all the clinicians and support staff at both Kidderminster and Worcester Royal Hospitals. I have been an out patient at Kidderminster Hospital for nearly three years. My eye condition had deteriorated rapidly over the past twelve months and it was suggested that I needed urgent intervention. I was called up for surgery really quickly after my recent diagnosis. All the clinical and office staff I encountered at both hospitals were utterly amazing. At every step of the procedure everything was reassuringly explained to me in great detail and the care and kindness I have received pre and post operation was simply outstanding. One cannot thank the staff in both hospitals enough for the wonderful support I received. The actual procedure has been a huge success and one cannot begin to express my delight at seeing such vibrant colours and experiencing clear focus of the world that surrounds me. Even at this early stage after my operation I am able to have a greater depth to my distant vision and my ability to already focus and read ,without the aid of spectacles, which I have had to wear all my life, is simply astonishing. I really appreciate the skill of the consultant and his support team, they have restored my sight and given me a renewed vigour as I see and experience a vision of the world I live in which has eluded me, I now realise, for many many years.
