I work full time so struggle enough trying to get an appointment. Some days they tell me “you need to ring on the day” other times the book me in weeks in advance. I had a very important appointment booked a week in advanced as i changed my rota to fit this day. I was then called whilst in work, i missed the call rang back twice after being on hold for 30 minutes for them to tell me the doctor is not in so i do not have the appointment. I asked what the alternative was, the unhelpful lady on the phone said “ring tomorrow morning” i said i am working this being the reason i booked today as it is very important. She told me “ill ring you then” so i just want to make clear, you will ring me to tell me when i can come the doctors? She said yes. I told her this was not good enough my appointment was serious an very important. I asked her if she can book me in for another day so i can again take time off. She said “no i cant” i explained this was how i got my original appointment, she then said “love there isnt anything i can do” . So now i am left none the wiser as to when i will actually be seen by a doctor and i have zero faith in them ringing me back. It is disgraceful how they treat patience, they have no concern for what may be wrong an do not take into consideration the things people have going on in their lives. Someone could be seriously ill and have no one to see or talk to aside from a doctor and this is the treatment you get in return. If a doctor is ill or off they should be staffed by someone else, just like every other work place. I will 100% be filling the in survey i got through the post , i never normally bother but when one thing after another adds up. It makes you frustrated! They need to make some drastic changes , the building had been done up inside, maybe if they spent more time acknowledging the patients and unhelpful staff members they wouldnt get bad reviews. Unhelpful waste of my time!!!!!!
