I attended the Chronic Pain Clinic with my partner who suffers from diabetic neuropathy and chronic lower back pain. The Consultant we saw did not look at the pre-assessment questionnaire we completed prior to seeing him, did not ask many questions about my partners pain and how it affects daily living and seemed hesitant about answering our questions.
Very disappointed. I thought health professionals were supposed to listen to, engage with and include patients & family in planning health care outcomes and future treatment.
