My mum has been admitted to ward 101 in ARI due to a flare up of ongoing chronic condition. She has been in and out of hospital recently as have other members of my family in the past year.
I have to say I could never fault the hard working staff who always showed compassion to us in most difficult times despite being short staffed. During the most recent admission however I have witnessed the next level of care. My mum has been admitted during a very busy time, and the staff were just rushing about trying to get all the jobs done, while still managing to take the time to explain what has happened and what the plan was going forward.
Specifically nurse Jodie who had a lot of patients to take care of and a lot of jobs to do, she was very respectful and managed to take great and individual care of all of her patients and auxiliary Peter, you could just tell he loves his job, as he always came in smiling, helped all the patients and his colleagues, and made my mum feel at ease by always finding the time to talk to her and make her laugh.
My mum has then been transferred to ward 102 and again I cannot fault the care she has received while in the ward despite the staff often being short.
"Great care"
