I unfortunately had to visit this department after a 13 week scan showed my baby had no heartbeat. From day 1 the staff were absolutely brilliant! They were so full of care and compassion. They explained everything to me and always spoke to us with respect.
I had never stayed in hospital before so aswell as being extremely upset about the situation I was also worried about staying in hospital. The staff were so lovely and made the whole experience much more bearable than I had ever thought possible.
They let my husband stay with me the whole time and he was also very well looked after!
We ended up staying much longer than anticipated but nothing was too much trouble and we didn't feel as though we were being a burden.
The process of medical miscarriage did not go as smoothly for us as we would have hoped but the proffessionalism of the staff when we needed some medical intervention was greatly admired. I felt like I was in very safe hands, and at that point in your life, feeling safe should not be underestimated.
We cannot thank each and every staff member enough for the care and compassion they have showed us. From the cleaners, HCA's, the nurses, sisters and the doctors, all of them deserve the highest of praise, they are a credit to the department.
You have our deepest gratitude. Thank you.
"Amazing Staff"
