My Grannie lives off the mainland and unfortunately had to be admitted into hospital in Glasgow a couple of times this year.
She was admitted to ward 51, Langlands QEUH.
The staff were all so supportive of her, on admission she was very confused and not very well, the staff all treated her so well. They were very accommodating for phone calls of family members and making her feel very welcomed, especially one of the nurses speaking her native language of Gaelic.
Her last admission just before Christmas, she was lucky enough to be back in 51 where some of the staff still knew her. They managed to get her back to good health and organise her to get back to the island in one days notice for her to spend christmas with us!On behalf of my Grannie and family a big thank you to all the staff at 51.
