"Audiology appointment with our son"

We wanted to highlight the excellent care my autistic son received during a recent audiology appointment.

We were very nervous about taking him for his hearing test as we had no idea how he would react in what was a strange and frightening environment for him. We were met by a very personable audiologist called Freddie who straight away put both us and our son at ease. Our Son is non-verbal and gets very anxious in unfamiliar situations. Freddie was very calm, reassuring and explained everything to him. He gave him time to process the information and made sure he didn’t rush him. During the appointment he was caring, calm and very professional which instilled confidence in us as parents and more importantly gained our Son’s trust.
