"Disappointing/unexpected"

About: Nuffield Health, the Grosvenor Hospital, Chester

I had a lower facelift in August 2018 and after a few months I still couldn't wear earrings as the side of my earlobes were sewn to my neck. I told the surgeon several times and he kept saying that if I massaged them they would get back to normal in time and they weren't big earlobes in the first place which was a dumb thing to say as I managed to wear stud earrings comfortably for 50 years and showed him photos to prove it. After nearly a year I went back to see him to ask for the lobes to be loosened and when I stepped into his office I sat down in the chair and he came and sat by me perched on the desk - there was also a little Indian(?) man sitting in the room as well. My surgeon - who was obviously annoyed with me - really got in 'my face' and started ranting on at me at 90 miles an hour saying yet again that they weren't that big in the first place even when I had sent pictures of me wearing earrings before my op. He made a complete fool of himself and the poor Indian man was obviously embarrassed and kept giving me sympathetic looks all through the ordeal. Finally I just said "All I want is my old earlobes back" to which he jumped up, grabbed his diary and gave me a date there and then. He did something to them but there's not much difference - the posts that go through the pierced holes still press into my neck.

I've given up.
