I have been blown away by the care & treatment that I have received so far from the rheumatology department. They triaged my referral and offered me a next day appointment, I have had 2 ultrasound scans (one at Stafford where I had fluid drained and I steroid injection into my knee), x-rays and bloods; accessed an urgent appointment when I was in pain and the helpline is brilliant, helpful, nurses are knowledgeable and kind.

I am awaiting an appointment with an occupational therapist, and I have started treatment which requires regular blood monitoring at the clinic. I feel well cared for, able to ask questions without feeling Silly & I feel safe in this scary journey. I feel my whole life has been turned on it’s head since symptoms started for me in November, but I do feel that the team at the Haywood are doing their best to help get me back on track. Thank you.
