This doctors surgery is the worst in stoke by miles its near impossible to get an appointment when you do manage to get one you can be waiting for hours reception staff are the rudest most disrespectful people I have come across there is a sign saying ask reception if you have been waiting over 50 mins when I last booked in the receptionist said there is a long wait so don't keep going up and asking how long who said I was going to I was literally just booking in they are awful I went to collect a prescription for an elderly lady I take care of I rang first they said it was there I got there they asked me for ID then said she couldn't have the prescription I wasn't best pleased as I had spent taxi fare there and back to collect the prescription so I asked to put in a complaint as they should have told me that over the phone the cheeky reception staff then rang the elderly lady and asked if she still wants me to speak on her behalf as though I was lying I was disgusted. I would make a complaint but its a waste of time you can't speak to anyone directly they say write to the practice manager they don't do anything about it when you do I know this as the before mentioned elderly lady has complained on 2 occasions and had no response once because she had a house call and the doctor was that rude she was left crying and in a worse state than to begin with and once because she sat there nearly 2 hours waiting to be seen when she went to the desk they said she was never put on the list yet they let her book in then when I rang up for her to rebook the appointment they said she hadn't turned up for the original appointment my mother in law put in her repeat prescription request and they gave her all the things she hadn't requested instead of the things she had requested some of those were life saving medications that she was then left without I rang for an appointment for my 3 year old asthmatic daughter who had tonsillitis they told me to call an ambulance or take her to A and E for tonsillitis the hospitals and paramedics are stretched enough without silly things like tonsillitis they are there to save lives GPS are there to treat infections ect the doctors themselves aren't too bad it all stems back to the rude unhelpful uncaring reception staff I'm leaving this gp practice and so is all my family and friends to see on here they are accepting new patients when they can even facilitate the existing ones is unbelievable one Dr is brilliant he is the only reason I haven't already left I have chronic arthritis I had a hugely swollen foot and leg reception just said well we can't do anything. I recently had a baby out 6 week check up was done at 10 weeks I rang for some pain killers after having a cesarean and sterilisation they said I had to go up I could barely walk I had to ask my midwife to ring up and get something for disgraceful service and treatment from the reception staff
