"Reception and Result information needs help. "

About: Woodlands Medical Centre

Reception staff aren't the most helpful, whether that's due to the rules and regs of the practice or just because they can't be bothered to give you any kind of support. Most have an attitude any teenager would be jealous of. I also find it massively unhelpful, giving the background of why it was required, that no letter or call to confirm scans are OK that the hospital say 'results will be sent to the person who asked for it' but unless you're dying or in the process of doing so in the near future you can guarantee to hear diddly squat about any results. Again, not sure if this is just practice policy or NHS policy but to be waiting and thinking the worst, to then several weeks later ring to ask for said results and be greeted with 'right (again with attitude) OK, everything fines' 'am I not supposed to be made aware of this' 'no we only tell you if it comes back with any news'.. well being told you brain doesn't have any kind of tumour (giving the family history) is just as required as being told you have. I understand the quantity of people who have ok results outweigh those who don't but still, little bit of common decency.

The doctors are fantastic however - when you do get an appointment and are generally unwell.
