"MRI Unit Where is it?????"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

A simple question but I have just spent 30 minutes on the NHS website without finding an answer. I know it is a temporary site but this is no excuse for causing already stressed and anxious patients unnecessary anxiety having been threatened by failure to attend. Either provide the information or don't. Half measures are not acceptable.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not easily find the information you needed. As you have pointed out our visiting scanners are often only on site for a few days and altering any maps would not be an easy solution. I have taken some time to look at our appointment letters for MRI and I can confirm that they contain the information to direct you to our MRI scanners. If your appointment was made via the telephone we would usually give you this information during the conversation.

We also have very helpful reception staff at each hospital entrance who will always offer support to direct patients to their Imaging appointment. We have plans in 2020 to review the information on our Clinical Imaging website and the department are currently looking into trialling a phone app to help patients find there way around our site.

We will take your comments on board during our improvement plans and appreciate we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.
