"Unacceptable treatment by receptionist."

I came in at 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve because I was worried about bruising and soreness in the groin following surgery on Wednesday and wanted some reassurance.

When I told your receptionist I wished to see someone I was told to ring 111.

Nowhere on your website does it say one has to ring 111 rather than report to minor injuries.

Since when has it become the job of the receptionist to make the rules?

I was too upset to challenge this bullying individual (man) so I did end up ringing 111 and was told to go to A and E in Worcester where I was treated with kindness and courtesy by very busy people. Had I been able to see someone at Malvern that morning a lot of time and resources would have been saved for everyone. They would have had the medical knowledge that I do not possess to see that the bruising and soreness was not that associated with dvt which the doctor on the phone was concerned about.
