My mother was so well cared for by the palliative care nurses in the day and Marie Curie nurses at night. Although she was described as a 'very high risk' patient she was able to stay at home with the family for her final few weeks.
It was not such a traumatic experience as I'd feared and I'm very grateful for their help.
