"Extremely worrying"

About: Dr Maassarani & Partners

Unfortunately I recently suffered an attack of gastroenteritis. I started to vomit blood and could not get out of bed. My poor father of 86yrs old phoned on my behalf as I have a speech impediment due to cerebral palsy. The practice should have this on record as I have been with the practice all my life. The receptionist refused to talk to my father and insisted that I should come to the phone a bit difficult living in a different house to him. She was totally inflexible and when my father asked for a home visit he was told to take me to the walk in centre. This wasn’t very realistic as I was confined to my bed with vomiting and my father as mentioned is 86yrsold. It was only when my partner came home in the evening he had to phone 111 and an out of hours doctor was sent round who was able to allay our fears especially with the vomiting of blood. I feel terribly frightened now that if I need medical attention no one is able to contact you on my behalf.
