"Outstanding care for my father"

(as a relative),

Our lovely dad had stage 4 lung cancer, unfortunately he had to be admitted due to suspected infection. Dad was transferred on to ward 8 at Wishaw general, dad spent 2 weeks 3 days and sadly did not make it home.  The care that he received while on the ward was in our opinion, outstanding. The nursing staff were attentive, kind, caring, funny and truely worked on lifting our dads spirits.  When my dad was down, they lifted him up.  As dads condition started to deteriorate, 2 nurses, Jackie & Wendy, advised us to come and spend as much times with dad as we could. As my sister lives in Australia, this allowed time for her to travel over on the next flight. We were treated so warmly by the staff, and kept up to date with all the changes to dads medicines and condition.

We would like to say a few special thanks to all of the team on ward 8, but a very special thanks to the below nurses who went above and beyond to make our dad and my sister and I as comfortable as we could be in such heart breaking circumstances. We will never forget the treatment our dad was given.
