"Brilliant staff"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was booked in for a colonoscopy last Wednesday and wanted to give my feedback.   The staff were really good, I ended up having to undergo a small procedure to remove a polyp which made the appointment run over time.   Staff were due to finish their shift at 6 but remained with me until almost 7 ensuring I was well enough recovered.     The staff kept me informed throughout and were so nice. They talked to me throughout.   I opted to stay awake and watch the operation on a screen which was quite fascinating, it was uncomfortable but not painful - I don't react too well to sedation.   I cannot fault Julie M, Denelda and all the staff, I apologise I cannot remember all your names but you are all brilliant.

Dear inspireej48

Thanks very much for using care opinion to provide feedback.I have passed on your great comments to Julie, Donalda and all the staff. We do appreciate any feedback as the staff take great pride in their job. We hope to reassure and support our patients during their time in the department and make it as pleasant as possible given the circumstances. I agree that it is fascinating to watch the procedure ( better than some TV soaps) however it's definitely not for everyone:)

I'm glad you have recovered well.

Best wishes

Pauline
