(as a parent/guardian),

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Mr Murray for operating on my 11 year old for a second time in just over a year.  He spoke to my daughter direct so she knew what was happening and involved her in all pre op discussions.  The team on the paediatric ward from Lorna the CSW who met us and got my daughter settled in to nurses Nadia and June who looked after her post op were all amazing with her and ensured she had a memorable stay. Thanks to Robin the anaesthesiologist and her side kick who I apologise I can’t remember his name but kept my daughter laughing. 

Thanks to Nadine in the waiting list team for scheduling the operation for golf’s off season. 

As a family we are so lucky to have the NHS and an amazing team at FVRH. Thanks for all the care. 

Could I also thank the paediatric physio therapy team, especially Jane from November last year who even did a home visit to ensure my daughter could use her crutches safely after her first toe op.  Sorry I didn’t put one in last year.

Thank you so much for such wonderful feedback. I hope your daughter is recovering well.

It is fantastic to hear how a potentially a scary time was filled with laughter making it a better experience for your daughter. Having her involved in all aspects of her own care has obviously made such a difference. I am sure it will have helped you as a parent cope with a stressful time knowing that the team were all working together to ensure your daughter received the best care possible.

I will make sure everyone involved sees your comments. I know they will be delighted to receive such praise and to know that each person helped make a difference in your daughters’ journey.

With best wishes to your daughter for a continued speedy recovery and to you and your family for a great time over the festive period.
