Having had a difficult start breastfeeding my daughter, breast feeding support was invaluable to help me continue. I had 2 different support workers visit me at my home who were incredibly helpful and supportive. When my daughter was diagnosed with a tongue tie, the support worker helped us get seen very quickly. Had this not have happened I’m not sure I would have continued to try. The only thing I found difficult were the different opinions/advice from the support workers, so ideally it would be good to see the same person for consistency, but I appreciate resources are an issue. Overall, this is a service that is invaluable for any new mums trying to breastfeed.

Thank you for your feedback about your recent experience of our breastfeeding support services. Its great to read that the service has helped you continue to breastfeed your baby. I agree that consistency of having the same person seeing you would be ideal for continuity of advice and having a familiar person who you have got to know. Unfortunately its not always possible to achieve this but we will continue to strive towards this and minimize the number of different people giving advice.

Your feedback is invaluable as it helps us to know that the service provided is helping women to continue breastfeeding, even when its tough to keep going, which is what we hope to do.
