Apart from childbirth, this was my first hospital experience. I have both read and heard criticism of the NHS but this was not my experience. Ward 56 is very person-centered with the staff excelling in what they do. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout and felt a central part of my care. The care these dedicated professionals give shine throughout the ward and reflect back on the patient making the healing process a more positive one with happy and content patients
The staff were consistent which made a positive experience. I honestly can't thank them all enough from a very upbeat anesthetist who visited me twice following surgery to a lovely OT before being discharged. Angie must be one of the happiest people I have seen at work and Megan and Rhianna on duty at night were very reassuring and made a great tag team. Both were a pleasure to see. Kirsten on days carried out her duties so professionally and Dr Siddiqi is the most brilliant and gifted man. I could go on and on. Our NHS team at this Glasgow ward are world class.
