"Fantastic Service"

About: Bridgwater Community Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit GPs in Somerset

(as the patient),

I contacted my surgery at 8am and got a 12-30 appointment, seen by my Doctor, explained my problem and was given a letter to take to local minor injuries unit for an X ray. This was done the next day, I Then received a letter to attend the orthopaedic clinic in 10 days time.  Having seen the staff there I was given an appointment for an MRI scan 1 week later. Even before I had been for the scan, I received a letter for a follow up orthopaedic appointment to discuss the results of the scan! All this in a period of just over a month.

I could not have received better service.

Additionally I mentioned to my GP  that my hearing was deteriorating, some three weeks later I received a phone call telling me that a home visit had been arranged to test my hearing. This was carried out a couple of days after the call and I was fitted with two hearing aids. 

Again fantastic service.
